Experience nature step by step - discover Zug's hiking world!
Zug hiking classics
Our lakes, the rolling hills and the Alps on the horizon, an old town steeped in history, mystical places such as the Höllgrotten caves or the Sihltobel ravine, a sunset that is second to none - what variety in such a small space.
Cherry hikes
What a fitting time for a ramble through the Zugerland. During the flowering season, the cherry, apricot, apple and pear trees show off their splendor. The cherry telephone informs you when the trees are in full bloom.
Wildspitz Hike
You have to earn the panoramic view on the 1'579 m high Rossberg.
You can only reach Zug's highest peak with muscle power. And the climb up the mountain, which is small by Swiss standards, is a tough one. No matter where you start your tour, the Rossberg is always waiting for you with a sweaty passage. All the more you will enjoy the magnificent view on the highest point, the Wildspitz.
The best way to end the day is with a sweet aperitif on the shores of Lake Aegeri.
Volg Naturena sensory trail
Let yourself be enchanted by loud and soft sounds on the Volg NATURENA sensory trail and test your sense of balance on a suspension bridge. The Volg NATURENA sensory trail begins and ends on the Raten Pass at the Raten restaurant (parking available) and is open from March 21 to October 31.
Lorze industrial trail
Did you know that Zug was the most industrialized canton in Central Switzerland at the beginning of the second half of the 19th century?
The Lorze Industrial Trail Association maintains 70 information boards along the Lorze river, which explain the history of industrialization over a length of 30 kilometers. You will even learn some interesting facts on your next walk.
